House Rules

We thank you for choosing to stay at Enchanted Forest Farm. Our farm is an 18 acre quiet and non-touristy experiential getaway for those offbeat travellers, explorers and wanderers. It is a perfect place for nature lovers who want a tranquil stay away from the hustle bustle yet not so far from the main town. We are a family run accommodation, and therefore, there are a few things which we would like to convey so that you have a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

  1. As we are a farm B&B/farmstay and not a hotel or a resort, we have no room service. All meals will be served in the common dining area. Serving meals in the room attracts a variety of insects, rodents, etc which can be quite tough to contain. Should you require anything in the room, you can always ask us. We can have the meals served depending on the situation. IF you get food from outside, please make sure you dispose the leftovers only in the cottage dustbins. We have pets who may litter the area if they get hold of the leftovers
  2. We have meal timings. Breakfast will be served between 8:30 am to 10:00 am. Lunch at 1:00pm to 3:00 pm. Dinner at 8:30pm to 10:00pm. Snacks can be provided upon request. Please let us know well in advance about your preferred meal timing(within the mentioned timing) so that we can get everything freshly arranged and ready for you.
Kindly ensure you follow the meal timings. As it is a rural location, late orders are operationally not viable for us. Also, if you happen to check out or plan to go on a sightseeing tour early morning, we will not be able to prepare breakfast(if it is before 8:30am)
  3. We do not have a specific menu. However, we serve healthy, home cooked meals. Incase, you wish to have either a veg or non-veg meal on a particular day, please let us know in advance. If you want to have snacks, you can let us know and we’ll prepare it for you. It would be helpful if you can club the orders and tell us in one go, instead of requesting one item at a time as we have limited staff. It can take up to 1 hour for snacks to be ready. So please bear with us.
  4. Please keep your rooms clean and please don’t spill anything in the bed.
  5. Kindly turn off the geyser after use. Keeping it on for long hours consumes a lot of energy which is again a waste of resources. Also, please switch off all the lights/heater/fan before heading anywhere as it would prevent wastage of electricity. Similarly, please check the bathroom taps before leaving the bathroom.
When using geyser, please ensure you switch off the room heater(if it is already switched on) or vice versa. Otherwise, it will overload the power supply resulting in power cut.
Hot air blower/Room heater should be kept at an open place where there is no chance of the blower vent getting covered.
  6. Please try not to bring in plastic bags on the farm. We would like to make this place plastic free. There are dedicated dustbins in which you can throw all your litter. Incase, there is no dustbins at that moment, please do not hesitate to ask us.
  7. Smoking is not allowed in the room. Please remember that the cottage is made of wood and other bamboo items which can catch fire quickly in case of negligence. Therefore, please be alert while smoking. It will be helpful if you smoke in the porch/sitout/balcony area and use the ashtray provided.
  8. We provide hot and cold running water. In case of electricity failure, we have power backup only for the lights and a charging point but not geyser. We can, however, provide a bucket of hot water in such cases.
  9. Please do inform us if you need guide service for nature walk /trek/any other special interest/vehicle hire/sightseeing tours well in advance so that we can make arrangements for these services including getting permits(incase of Tsongmo Lake, Nathula pass, etc). These services are chargeable and not included in the tariff. Informing us at the last minute will not ensure that you get a vehicle.
  10. If you are planning to head out, it will be helpful if you can inform us of the expected time of return. If it gets dark, it can be a bit difficult to find the trail. If you inform in advance we can guide you back safely to the farm.
  11. If you wish to enjoy bonfire and BBQ, please let us know a few hours in advance so that we can arrange for wood and chicken(incase of BBQ). Charges extra.
  12. Should you require alcohol, please let us know in advance as it can be a little difficult to procure incase we are out of stock. You can always procure alcohol from the market before coming to the farm.

We hope you enjoy your stay to the fullest and take back good memories and a rustic farm experience.
