We called it the Alder cottage as Himalayan Alder is one of the common trees that form a part of our forest ecosystem. It is a duplex suite with the ground floor serving as a living room(cum bedroom incase of 2 extra guests) and the top floor serving as the actual bedroom. One interesting feature of the bedroom is the skylight(transparent roof) right above the bed. It provides adequate sunlight during the day. Besides, you can also enjoy watching the clouds roll by, just by lying in the bed. You can also fulfill your stargazing dream with breathtaking views of the night sky, esp. on a moonlit night. The cottage comes with a beautiful balcony overlooking the beautiful mountains, valley, forests and a panoramic view of Gangtok town.

The suite has all the basic amenities that a traveller would want.
